Thread-counter

The thread-counter is a Loupe with high magnification (generally x10) generally provided with a gauge ensuring the optimal distance from optics with what is examined, as well as a scale of measurement.

It is not intended for the reading, but for the checking of details which the eye can have of the difficulties of perceiving, like the density of the screen of a fabric, the quality of juxtaposition of the Pixel S on a screen of computer or a television set, those of the points of a Tricot, the grain of negative a photographic, that of a pulling, etc

The thread-counter is also used in Typographie to compare in a fine way of the processes of composition or even of impression.

Sometimes it makes it possible to detect defects on the plate of impression or the printed sheet and is also used to control the Repérage.
