Thoune ( Thun in German) is a common Suisse of the Canton of Bern, chief town of the district of Thoune.

Geography

The town of Thoune is located at the edge of the lake éponyme. The historical center is not directly at the edge of the lake, but on a small island of the Aar which separates in two arms to cross the city.
