Those of on our premises is a Documentary film French of Sacha Guitry left in 1915.

Synopsis

Sacha Guitry carried out filmed of various personalities, friendly portraits of his/her father. One sees there André Antoine, Sarah Bernhardt, Edgar Degas, Anatole France, Lucien Guitry, Octave Mirbeau, Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, Henri Robert, Auguste Rodin, Edmond Rostand, Camille Saint-Saëns. The dumb version lasts approximately 22 minutes, and the double for the wired for sound version of 1953.

Comment

In 1915, Guitry carries out this short-measuring with a camera amateur, in reaction to an exciting German proclamation the Germanic culture. It takes care to note all that the prestigious speakers say, and word for word during the diffusions repeats it which it gives. Without the knowledge, Guitry invented what was going to become the postsynchronization and doubling. Master stroke in a still dumb cinema, and amusing paradox for a man who always privileged the theater, and who devoted his life to him.
