Thorbjørn Jagland

Louise Harel (April 22nd, 1946 in Quebec with Holy-Therese-with-Blainville -) is a political woman. Elected for the first time at the election of 1981, it occupied several important functions with the National Assembly of Quebec and in the various governments of the Parti Québécois.

Biography

It has been Député E of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve to the National Assembly of Quebec for 25 years. June 6th, 2005 in Quebec, it becomes, by Intérim following the Démission of Bernard Landry, chief of the official opposition to the National Assembly of Quebec.

November 15th, 2005 in Quebec, André Boisclair succeeds to him at the time of sound election as chief of the Parti Québécois.

Then, on August 14th, 2006 in Quebec, the chief of the left, Andre Boisclair, is elected appointed in the district Point-with-Tremble and thus succeeds Louise Harel as chief of the parliamentary wing and the official opposition to the National Assembly of Quebec.

She is the sister of the artist Pierre Harel.

She was unfavourable in Boisclair and Gilles Duceppe preferred to him.

Anecdotes

She was the first woman to occupy the station of president of the National Assembly of Quebec.
