Thomas de Maizière
Thomas de Maizière , born the January 21st 1954 with Bonn, is a German politician member of the Union Christian Democrat (CDU).
Chief of the Chancellery of Mecklembourg-Poméranie of 1994 to 1998, then of the Chancellery of Saxony of 1999 to 2001, it is named in January 2001 Minister for Finance of the Land of Saxony, then in May 2002 Minister for Justice, and in November 2004 Minister of Interior Department of the same Land.
He is since November 2005 Federal minister with special attributions and chief of the federal Chancellerie in the government of union directed by Angela Merkel.
He is the cousin of Lothar de Maizière, first elected official and last head of government ( Ministerpräsident ) of the German Democratic republic in 1990.
