The science of the materials gathers the fields which study the matter which constitutes the objects. That goes from the Roche S (in Géologie) to the metals while passing by the construction materials (Civil engineering), Polymeric S (plastic, rubber, Painting S, resins) Ceramic S, the Glass S… Many concepts are common to all these fields, this is why one speaks about the science of materials, but some also speak about sciences of materials.
That utilized at the same time Chemistry and Physical (physicochemistry).
