Thomas Stewart
Thomas Stewart (born the August 29th 1928 with San Sheba, Texas, the United States, dead the September 24th 2006 with Rockville in the Maryland) was a singer of American opera (Baritone-low). He was the husband of the Soprano Evelyn Lear.
Though he is somewhat forgotten nowadays, Thomas Stewart was one of the best Wagnerian singers of the years 1960. He did not have the power of emission and the authority of his elder Hans Hotter, George London or Ferdinand Frantz, but its voice was characterized by clearness from its stamp, the clearness of its diction and its always lyric and noble approach of its roles.
