Thomas Short prop

Sir Thomas Short prop (deceased in April 1634) English navigator.

He was charged by Jacques Ier with England, in 1611, to continue the discoveries made by Henry Hudson in the North of the America; discovered the grounds which it named News-Wales, ground of Carey' s-Swans-Nest, courses of Southampton, of Pembroke, the islands Mansfield, the island and the Baie of Short prop. Arrived until worms the 65° of latitude, it convainquit of the possibility of a passage to Western North. It returned in England in 1612. Samuel Purchas gave an extract of its newspaper.
