Thomas Reiter
Thomas Reiter , born with Frankfurt, Germany, the May 23rd 1958, is spationaut of the European space agency (ESA).
Formation
In 1982, Reiter receives its Diplôme in Astronautique. It supplements its drive as a Aviateur in Germany and with the Texas.Between 1996 and 1997, he undertakes an additional drive in the vessel Soyuz; he takes down a certificate “ Soyuz Return Commander ”, qualifying it to order a team of three people on board Soyuz at the time of his returns of space.
Flights carried out
- Soyuz TM-22 (September 3rd 1995 - February 29th 1996) Flight Intercosmos bound for the space station Mir. It is used to with it as an engineer as edge. During these 179 days on board space station, it made two left extravéhiculaires (first times for a German spationaut).
- He is again engineer of flight in the Expédition 13 on the International space station, taking off on board the Space shuttle Discovery (mission STS-121, the July 4th 2006, for one 6 months duration.
