Thomas Ott

Thomas Ott (born in 1966 with Zurich) is a Swiss author of Cartoon. He is Dessinateur and Scénariste.

Its technique of predilection is the Carte to scrape. It thus draws in black and white but the use of this particular technique, in opposition to the Indian ink for example, makes natural to let the black dominate the drawing, and constitute the bottom of the image. The black is here the color by defect . This is appropriate for the stories and the atmosphere pessimists and even sometimes choking which Ott creates. To that are added very cinematographic framings, with boxes who frequently extend from one edge to another of the page, while remaining narrow.

The cartoons of Thomas Ott are primarily dumb, the text being present only like element of the drawing (signs, panels and labels)
