Thomas Montaigu

Thomas Montaigu or Thomas Montacute (in English) (1388 - Meung-sur-Loire, October 27th 1428), 4th Count de Salisbury (new Sarum), was one of the English commanders during the Guerre One hundred Year old.

Biography

It took part in the Bataille of Azincourt, with the seats of Caen, Harfleur and of Rouen, to the Bataille of Verneuil and, after having taken Rambouillet, Meung-sur-Loire, Beaugency and Jargeau, it directed the Siège of Orleans during which it died.

He was lieutenant-general of the king in Normandy in 1419, then governor of Champagne and Brie, and finally general lieutenant English.
