Thomas Merton

Thomas Merton (1915-1968) is a writer, a monk Trappist and an American social activist. He was one of the catholic spiritual authors most influential of the XXe century.

Author of more than sixty books, he was a large partisan of the Dialog inter-monk, being known for his dialogs with the Dalai Lama, Thich Nhat Hanh and D.T. Suzuki. Its life was curtailed at the 53 years age when it was electrocuted while leaving its bath.
