Thomas Lindet , born with Bernay in 1743 and died in 1843, was the older brother of conventional the Robert Lindet.
Cleaned parish Holy-Cross of Bernay, Thomas Lindet was famous for his generosity towards the poor. Its popularity was worth to him to be indicated like representative of the clergy of Bernay to the General states of 1789. In February 1791, it was elected constitutional bishop of the the Eure, then appointed with the Convention. Just like his/her brother Robert, it voted the death of the king without deferment.
He filed in his letters of priesthood in 1793, became member of the Conseil of old the (1795-1798), before giving up any public activity after the Coup d'etat of the 18 brumaire.
