Biography

Born in Bern in 1957, the plastics technician Thomas Hirschhorn passes his childhood to Davos, in the Grisons. Of 1978 with 1983, it follows the courses of the Schule für Gestaltung (school of decorative arts) of Zurich. Since 1984, it lives and works with Paris. Its installations are worth an unquestionable reputation to him as of the years 1990: it is not long in being exposed, so much in France (Paris) that abroad (Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt, Bilbao, Biennale de Venise, Tate Modern of London), including in Switzerland (Lucerne, Bern, Saint-Gall, Freiburg, Geneva). Artistic ideas

Since the end of the Years 1980, Thomas Hirschhorn concentrates on the creation of hand made precarious sculptures.
