Thomas Eagleton
Thomas Francis Eagleton (1929 - 2007) was a American, member of the democratic party, senator of the Missouri of 1968 with 1987 and transitory Politician democratic Candidat with the vice-presidency of the United States of the July 13rd at August 1st 1972 at the side of George McGovern. It must be withdrawn 15 days after its nomination and yield its place to Sargent Shriver after the press revealed its stays with three recoveries in a psychiatric hospital.
Biography
Thomas Eagleton is the son of Mark D. Eagleton, a politician of Missouri which was candidate with the town hall of St Louis.After two years passed in the US Navy, it carries out studies of Droit to Harvard.
In 1956, it marries Barbara Ann Smith with whom it will have a son, Terence, born in 1959, and a girl, Christin, born in 1960.

In 1960, only 31 years old, it is elected Attorney General of the state.

In January 2001, it is opposed without success with other democratic elected officials of Missouri to the nomination of the former governor of Missouri, John Ashcroft, at the station of Attorney General of the United States in the government of George W. Bush.
Thomas Eagleton dies the March 4th 2007 of respiratory complications following a cardiac disorder. Although Catholic, it made gift of its body to science.
