Thomas Cochrane de Dundonald

Thomas Cochrane (December 14th 1775 - October 31st 1860), 10th count de Dundonald, nephew of Alexander Cochrane, was a British admiral .
He made himself famous as sailor and democrat. He announced himself initially in the wars against the Empire and failed to set fire to the French fleet with Rochefort. Striped controls of the British marine in 1814 to have spread false reports with an aim of Agiotage, it passed abroad ordered in 1818 the naval forces of the Chile against the Spain, in 1822 those of the Brésil against the Portugal, went in 1826 to help the Greek against the Turkish S, and acquired such a popularity that it could, in 1830, being restored on the executives of the navy and being promoted in few years to the rank of admiral.
