Thomas Castaignède

Thomas Castaignède (born the January 21st 1975 with Mount-with-Marsan) is a player of Rugby to XV, professional of 1993 with 2007. It could play center three-quarter, back or half of opening.
It in particular evolved/moved with Toulouse and the Saracens in England. One called it at the beginning of his career the Petit Profit in reference to André Boniface. Like Didier Codorniou, it was called the Petit Prince .

It obtains the Oscar of the Olympic South (better French player of the championship) in 1996 and 1998. It has a diploma for the occupation of engineer of INSA Toulouse.

Career

Launched in team first of the Stade Toulousain as of its nineteen years in 1994, it takes part in the finale of the championship of France vis-a-vis Montferrand and thus gains the first of the four consecutive titles which it will gain with the " club of sound cœur".

He takes part besides in the tournament of the VI Nations 2006. During the round of summer 2006, he plays this time at the station of half of opening and is the second striker of the team.

In spite of contacts with Toulouse, Castrate or the Racing Club of France, Castaignède chooses to hang up again the cramps at the conclusion of the season 2006-2007. After the elimination of Saracens in semi-finals of the European Shield and Championship of England, it makes World cup 2007 the objective of its end of a career. Besides he continues his reconversion in finance while being consulting for UBS, career started since 2006, while remaining in contact with the world of Rugby while being also consulting of Canal +.
