Third district of the Rhone

The third district of the Rhone is one of the 14 French legislative districts which account the department of the the Rhone (69) located in area the Rhone-Alps.

Geographical and demographic description

The third district of the Rhone is delimited by the electoral Découpage of the law n°86-1197 of the November 24th 1986 , it gathers the following administrative divisions:

Canton of Lyon-IX
Canton of Lyon-X
Canton of Lyon-XIi (left located at the west a line defined by the axis of the ways hereafter: street Feuillat, street Maryse-Bastié, which occurred Paul-Santy, Comtois passage and avenue of the General-Brother),
Canton of Lyon-XIIi (left not included/understood in the 1st district).

According to the general Census of the population in 1999, carried out by the National institute of the Statistics and Economic studies (INSEE), the population of this district is estimated at 111033 habitants^,, minors, major in supervision, foreigners, deprived of civic rights and not registered on the electoral rolls included/understood.
