Third district of the Apple-brandy
The third district of the Calvados is represented in XIIe legislature by Claude Leteurtre, appointed UDF and former mayor of Falaise. Its substitute is Anne-Marie Seguin.
Geographical and demographic description
Located at the south-east of the department, the first district of the Calvados is a rural district, centered around the towns of Falaise and Lisieux. It gathers the cantons according to:- Canton of Cliff-North
- Canton of Cliff-South
- Canton of Lisieux-2
- Canton of Livarot
- Canton of Mézidon-Canon
- Canton of Morteaux-Couliboeuf
- Canton of Orbec
- Canton Saint-Pierre-on-Divine
- As well as the part of the commune of Lisieux included/understood in the Canton of Lisieux-1
Historical and political description
The third district of the Apple-brandy is a relatively open district, which votes like the nation. It always practiced alternation since the recutting of 1988, granting reasonable margins, in the neighborhoods of 55% on average, the camp having gained the election at the national level.
