Third coalition

The Third Coalition was concluded in 1805 against Napoleon i between the Russia, the Austria and the Sweden, under the auspices of William Pitt which finances the unit, in order to fight against progress of the French domination in Italy (annexation of the Republic of Genoa and the duchy of Parma) and in Germany.

This coalition involved a war. The goal of Pitt is to move away the threat that Napoleon i makes plane on England since the Camp of Boulogne. It succeeds there by the Bataille of Trafalgar and by the financing of the coalition. It leads to the project of junction of the Austrian troops and Russian in Bavaria. Napoleon i walks towards Germany of the south invaded by Austria from which it captures the army with Ulm (October 20th, 1805). He gives up invading the the United Kingdom after the defeat of Trafalgar (October 21st, 1805), and goes then on Vienna which is occupied without resistance (November 15th, 1805) and gains over the armies austro-Russian the victory of Austerlitz (December 2nd, 1805).

The Emperor imposed on Austria the Traité of Presbourg (December 26th, 1805). The United Kingdom and the Russia continued the war. The United Kingdom lost its Prime Minister, shortly after dead the advertisement of the victory of Austerlitz (the British say: Austerlitz killed Pitt ).
