Thilogne
Thilogne (sometimes Tilogne ) is a city of the North-East of the Senegal, located between Golléré and Matam, with a score of kilometers of the border with the Mauritania.
History
The village of origin would have been founded at the 13th century.It became the political, economic capital and nun of the Bosséa (or Drilled), then that of the Fouta at the 18th century.
Thilogne was set up in commune in 1996.
Administration
It is one of the sub-prefectures of the Département of Matam in the area of Matam.

The closest localities are Barga, Toulel Tiale, Kadre IVAP, Belkindi, Diafane, Ganki Doumbodjie, Kobbilo and Goudoude Ndouetbe.

At the time of the census of 2002, Thilogne counted 8.425 inhabitants, 658 concessions and 934 households.End 2007, according to the official estimates, the population would rise with 9.983 people.
