Thierry Marie is a runner cyclist French born the June 25th 1963 with Bénouville (Calvados). Specialist in the prologs but also fighter. It has a brother, Denis Marie, born the April 16th 1970 with Caen also cyclist.

It counts 67 professional victories of which championships of France of the Against the watch in 1995, Champion of France of continuation in 1988. It is also victorious of 6 stages of the Tour de France (including 3 prologs), of a stage of the Tour of Italy and victorious of the prolog of the Tour of Spain in 1986.

Its most famous exploit remaining its victory in the 6th stage of the Tour de France 1991, connecting Arras to the Harbor. It is to date the 2nd longer solitary escape of the history of the Turn (234 km) and with the passage endorsing the Yellow jersey.
