Thierry Lancino

Thierry Lancino is a Compositeur French born the March 27th 1954 with Civray (Vienna)

Biography

He studies the literature and the music at the university of Poitiers and the composition with the Conservatoire higher national of Paris. After having finished research tasks in the universities of Colgate and Stanford, in the United States, it is invited by Pierre Boulez to join the team of IRCAM, at the Center Pompidou in Paris. In 1988, it obtains the Prix of Rome and resides at the Académie from France to Rome (Villa Médicis). After its return in France, it is invited to the Abbaye of Prée for a four year old residence. He currently lives with New York.

The production of Thierry Lancino includes/understands Electronic music, Chamber music, vocal Musique and symphonic Musique. It obtained many orders of prestigious organizations, among which Radio France, the French State, the Festival Musica, the Ensemble Asko, the Ensemble intercontemporain, the IRCAM, the National orchestra of France, the Philharmonic orchestra of Luxembourg. Its works are carried out during the principal festivals in France and in the main cities of the world.
