Thierno Diawo
Thierno Diawo Pellel ( Thierno Mamadou Diawo Diallo ), (born towards 1900 with Labé Guinea (AOF), deceased in 1984 with Labé Guinea) was one of the great writers poets of the Fouta Jallon of the 20th century.
Wire of Môdi Abdoulaye Diallo, appointed chief of Mouminia by the dirigeance of Fouta, Thierno Diawo grows in an environment strict and deeply marked by the devotion with the Islamic religion. He did not know his father who died in 1907 following an attack whereas he exerted his function. The young person Thierno Diallo was raised thereafter by his older sisters. He followed usual education for a national of the noble families (lasili) of Fouta. At the 25 years age, he became disciple of the large scholar Thierno Aliou Bhoubha Ndian. It remained it for the two following years, i.e. until the death of its spiritual Master. He married one of his nieces, Aissatou Donghol, of which he had seven children.
Thierno Diawo Pellel is especially known for the drafting of a consistent Poème of 409 verses and singing the praise of the great men of Fouta.
Thierno Diawo died within its family with Pellel/Labé in 1984.
