Thibaut V of Blois , known as the Good , born in 1130, died in 1191, was count de Blois, of Châteaudun and of Chartres of 1152 with 1191. It was wire of Thibaut IV Large the, count de Champagne, of Blois and Chartres, and Mathilde de Carinthie.

It becomes seneshal of France in 1152 and inherited the counties of Blois and Chartres, while his/her brothers Henri Ier and Etienne accepted Champagne, for the elder one, and Sancerre for the third of the brothers.

He marries initially Sybille of Castle-Fox, then, in 1164, the capétienne Alix (11501195), girl of Louis VII, king de France, and of Aliénor of Aquitaine. It gives him seven children:

* Thibaut, dead young;

* Louis († 1205), count de Blois, of Chartres and Clermont, married to Catherine de Clermont;
* Henri, dead young;
* Philippe, dead young;
* Marguerite (11701230), countess of Blois and Châteaudun, married towards 1183 with Hugues III of Oisy, Cambric Viscount († 1189), then towards 1190 with Othon Ier, count de Bourgogne († 1200), and finally with Gautier II of Avesnes, lord of Own way († 1246);
* Adelaide, abbess of Fontevraud in 1190;
* Isabelle († 1248), countess of Chartres and Romorantin, married to Sulpice d' Amboise, then in Jean de Montmirail, Viscount of Cambric († 1244).

Thibaud engaged in the Third crusade and was killed at the time of the seat of Acre.
