Thiais

Thiais is a common French, located in the department of the the Valley-of-Marne and the area Île-de-France.

Its inhabitants is called the Thiaisiens .

Geography

The commune is located at 7 kilometers in the south-south-east of Paris.

It is bordering communes of Vitry-sur-Seine in north, Choisy-the-King in the east, Rungis and Chevilly-Larue in the west, Orly and Paray-Old woman-Station in the south.

The city with is crossed very important axes of communication such as the Autoroute A86, which act as second Parisian peripheral, and the A6, axis major connecting Paris to Lyon. The N7 also constitutes the Western limit of the city.

The Station of the Bridge of Rungis - Airport of Orly on the RER C serves the South-west of the commune, nevertheless, the majority of Thiaisiens use the Gare of Choisy-the-King who is more accessible from the centres of populations. Thiais is also served by TVM, a bus in exclusive right of way whose way skirts RN 186 crossing the commune of is in west.

Economy

The regional shopping mall of Beautiful Spine and Thiais-Village form one of the large economic poles of the department, with the International market of Rungis and the airport of Orly.
