The Thermostat of a Four is the device making it possible to regulate and maintain automatically certain a Température in the furnace, generally ordered by a rotary switch placed in front of the apparatus.

The thermostat like unit

In the field of the electric household appliances for the Kitchen, and by Abuse language, one often describes the temperature to which a furnace must be carried for the Cuisson of a food or a dish by indicating only one arbitrary value between 1 and 10, corresponding to the figure on which must point the ordering of its thermostat.

By convention, this value refers on a temperature scale given in the table below.

Remark : the equivalence indicated in this table between the degrees Celsius (°C) and the degrees Fahrenheit (°F) is not exact, but constitutes a practical approximation.
