Thermography
AFNOR defines the thermography like the “technique making it possible to obtain, by means of an adapted equipment, the thermal image of a thermal scene observed in a spectral field of the Infrarouge”.
One will more generally speak about infra-red Thermographie
Air thermography infragrouge
It is a question of using air photographs taken of helicopter at an altitude not exceeding 400 to 500 meters, in the infra-red and in winter, to highlight the roofs badly isolated in order to prioriser the investments in energy saving by insulation of the roofs (the most profitable investment often in term of energy saving and to achieve the goals of the Protocole of Kyoto; 30% of the thermal losses of a building being carried out by the roof, in moderate zone. Infra-red air thermography makes it possible to make clearly visible for all and each one the losses of each building thanks to a Thermogramme and on a scale of colors, which are used to produce charts. The infra-red camera produces images modified by a Calculateur (intern or external), in order to take account of factors of influence such as the emissivity and the temperature of environment.
The first made in France were it in the years 1980, subsidized by the AFME (become of the Ademe). Then after an abandonment of the method, the urban community of Dunkirk re-used it in 2004, on a surface urban gathering the 18 communes of the Urban community (either 220.000 inhabitants and more than 10.000 ha). This operation included an expertise on the network of district heating (30 km of network of heating) and was accompanied by a communication campaign. The latter resulted in more than 7000 contacts made by the inhabitants with the local advisers in energy, who can advise on the choices of materials and techniques of Thermo isolation or loans (Isolto for example in this area) and poposer with those which wish it a “ personalized thermal study ” of their housing.
Des projects exists of thermography starting from Satellite.
Thermography within the electric framework of maintenance
Another application of this technology is the description of heat emission on the level of the electricals appliance.
the purpose of
Cette preventive maintenance is to prevent deteriorations to see destruction of the defective materials.
Le control having to take place on an installation in normal state of operation, that does not cause any stop of production.
