Therapeutic, educational and teaching institute
The Institutes Therapeutic, Educatifs and Teaching (ITEP) are médico-educational establishments which have the role to accommodate children or teenagers presenting of the important behavioral problems, without pathology psychotic nor intellectual deficiency. They are the old Institutes of Rehabilitation (IR), or Institutes of Psychotherapeutic Rehabilitation (IRP), reformed by the decree n° 2005-11 of January 6th, 2005. The reception is done in boarding school or half-board. Teaching is exempted either in the establishment by teachers specialized, or in integration in classes, ordinary or specialized, close schools.
