Theoren Wallace Fleury (born the June 29th 1968 with Oxbow in the province of the Saskatchewan with the Canada) is a former player of professional Hockey.
Regarded as too small (1,67m) making career in LNH, Fleury proved to be assailing powerful in spite of its weak gauge.
It takes part in the conquest of the Coupe Stanley with the Flames at the time of its first season in the LNH. For its first season supplements the following year, it registers 31 goals and 35 assistances. Fleury marks 104 points at the time of the season 1990-91 with a personal record of 51 goals and again succeeds in reaching the plate of the 100 points in 1992-93. During the season 1998-99, it appears that the Flames will not be able to preserve Fleury in their manpower the following season because of a too important wage request of the player who becomes free agent at the end of the season. The Flames exchange it before the deadline against Rene Corbet, Wade Belak and Robyn Regehr of the Avalanche of Colorado. It was, before its exchange, the last one representing Flames champions of the Stanley cut of 1989.
On its arrival in Denver, Fleury plays 15 matches, registering 10 goals and 14 assistances in regular season like 5 goals and 12 assistances in 18 matches of series. The Avalanche does not sign however a contract to him and the July 5th 1999, it concludes an agreement with the Rangers from New York. After three seasons, it again changes club to go to play Chicago for the Blackhawks of Chicago for the season 2002-03.
However, of the problems extra-sportsmen catching up with it, the problems of drug make surface. It seems to be disencumbered about it at the time of the Olympic Games which it gains with the team of Canada but in October 2002, it relapses and is suspended for six months. It begins the season 2002-03 after 25 matches of suspension but a little later spleen a training session, calling upon a “breakdown of alarm clock” then, in January, is implied in an incident in a box of striptease to Columbus. It is again suspended for use of narcotic in 2003.
To try to regild its blazon, it signs with the team of the Thunder de Horse Lake, in Alberta (Canada) in the North Peace Hockey League. He plays its first match the January 22nd 2005 and registers a goal and three assistances.
For its last season of hockey, it signs with the Giants of Belfast evolving/moving in Elite Ice Hockey League (the United Kingdom) where it begins the October 15th against the Capitals from Edinburgh marking a Coup of the hat like 4 assistances and bagarant itself against Fredrik Oduya. He is elected better player of the match. But although helping Giants for the championship, it is still implied in several incidents on the skating rink, of which a throw of metal disc in direction of a referee and remarks abusive towards the official ones at the time of a match. At the conclusion of the match, Fleury, which was not calmed, declares in press conference that it will not rejouera in EIHL, the official ones being too bad in its eyes.
He is nevertheless elected player of the year by the British Ice Hockey Writers Association .
He is now owner of a family company, the “ Fleury' S Concrete Coatings ”, which he created with his wife and his brother.
