Theorem of Kutta-Jukowski

The theorem of Kutta-Jukowski is the fruit of the search for two aerodynamicists, Kutta, German, and Jukowski, Russian.

This theorem quantifies the Portance undergone by a cylinder in rotation in a Fluide moving.

The relation is Portance per unit of length = L = \ rho G V \, , where \ rho is the density of the fluid, V the speed of flow, and G the “force of vortex”, defined by G = 2 \ pi \ Omega r^2 \, , where \ omega is the angular velocity of spin of the cylinder, and R is its ray.
