Theophilus of Alexandria (death in 412) was Archevêque of the Church of Alexandria in Egypt, of 385 with 412. He was a burning defender of the faith defined by the Symbole of Nicée.

He was opposed to Jean Chrysostome, archbishop of Constantinople, in the business of the Long Brothers of the monks origenists who had asked for the arbitration of the head office of Constantinople, and was one of the causes of his deposition.

Its neuveu, Cyrille succeeded to him the head of the Church of Alexandria.
