Theophilus Mbemba Fundu di Luyindu , is a politician of the Congo-Kinshasa. He is appointed with the National Assembly of Congo-Kinshasa since October 10th, 2006. He was the Minister of Interior Department and the Safety and law and order of the Democratic republic of Congo of the June 30th 2001 with the October 10th 2006. Previously, it was: governor of the capital, Kinshasa, of 1997 to 2001; principal private secretary of President Joseph Kabila from February in June 2001; and Minister of Interior Department of June 2001 in October 2006.
Biography
Graduate doctor in Chemistry in Belgium, he is professor with the Université of Kinshasa. He specialized in agricultural questions in particular in research and popularization about food at nutritional strong potential to fight against the hunger (case of Kikalakassa).He begins the policy in 1990 in the capacity as Vice-president of the National Party for the Revival and Development (PNRD). After its participation in the National conference and Sovereign (CNS), it was indicated spokesperson of the Opposition with for Etienne Tshisekedi. It is for this reason that it declines the wallet of Minister for Higher education and Universitaire to which president Mobutu Sese Seko named it in the Gouvernement Mungul Diaka. Extremely of this image of resistant to the Mobutu mode, Laurent-Desired president Kabila appoints it governor of the town of Kinshasa in 1997. Post that it will keep until the assassination of this last on January 16th, 2001. He is then principal private secretary of President Joseph Kabila from February in June 2001 and becomes Minister of Interior Department of June 2001 until October 2006, when he becomes appointed with the National Assembly.
