In the Egyptian Mythology, the theogamy is the principle which makes it possible to the god to take the physical place of the Pharaon in order to be able to link themselves with the queen and to thus design the future heir to the throne. This meeting between the world of the gods and that of the men expresses the double nature of Pharaon: alive god on ground. This principle was used in the beginning to justify or légitimiser an accession with the throne (see Papyrus Westcar).
The theogamy became then a formula polico-nun that certain sovereigns of and S adopted for their own legitimacy, via divine filiation, to strengthen their capacity.
