Theodoricus Dorstenius
Dorstenius Theodoricus was a German doctor born in 1492 with Dorsten in the area of Westphalia and deceased in 1552 with Kassel.
He was also professor of medicine at the university of Marburg.
It was an informed expert of the botanical world. A plant of the family of the Moracée S bears its name: Dorstenia.
It published in 1540 a book: Botanicon , a Latin Herbarium in which gathered botanical and pharmacological knowledge of the time.
