Theodore Verhaegen
Pierre-Theodore Verhaegen (born in 1796 with Brussels and deceased in 1862 in the same city) was Belgian lawyer and leader of the liberal party which it contributed to found in 1846, it was appointed, president of the Room and burgomaster of Watermael-Boitsfort. It is one of the founders of the Universit3e libre de Bruxelles which it placed under the sign of the Libre examination. Member of the cabin the Friends philanthropists of the the Great East of Belgium, it was then the Grand Master Grand the East of Belgium of 1854 to 1862 whole while remaining catholic practitioner and member of the factory of church!
The Saint-Verhaegen is each year one festive moment intense of the life of the Universit3e libre de Bruxelles.
The Pulpit Theodore Verhaegen, founded in 1983 in the Universit3e libre de Bruxelles, is a pulpit of Maçonnologie, it is the only existing university pulpit devoted to the Franc-maçonnerie. After chairbeing chaired by Herve Hasquin, the pulpit Theodore Varhaegen is currently directed by Luc Nefontaine.
