Theodore Taylor
Theodore Brewster Taylor (July 11th 1925 - October 28th 2004) is an American nuclear physicist whose contributions reinforced the arsenal with its country during the Cold war.
Biography
Doctor Taylor in particular worked with the National laboratory of Los Alamos of 1948 to 1956 when he invented new types of bombs. Very anxious of the potential use of its creations, it joined the private sector. It returns to General Atomics, a division of General Dynamics created with San Diego in 1955. It uses its knowledge at medical ends. It takes part then in the Projet Orion which consists in employing the nuclear power to explore space. The treaty of non-proliferation signed in 1963 will put a term at this research.
Its competences will be also used in the Eighties by the English newspaper Sunday Times to validate the revelations of Mordechai Vanunu, technician Israeli who betrays the secrecy of the Nuclear plant of Dimona.
The doctor dies the October 28th 2004 at the 79 years age.
