The cardinal Theodore Adrien Sarr is archbishop of Dakar (Senegal), successor of the cardinal Hyacinthe Thiandoum.

Biography

Previously, it was during nearly 20 years bishop of the diocese of Kaolack located at 200 km in the east of Dakar.

October 17th 2007 the pope Benoît XVI announces that it will raise it with the cardinal row of . November 24th of the same year, it is high with dignity cardinalice at the time of the second consistory under the papacy of the pope Benoit XVI. It is Cardinal-priest of the Roman parish Sainte Lucie de Piazza d' Armi ( Santa Lucia has Piazza d' Armi ).
