Theodor Curtius

Julius Wilhelm Theodor Curtius (Duisburg May 27th 1857 - Heidelberg February 8th 1928) is a German chemist.

Biography

Curtius at summer the pupil of Kolbe and Von Bayer. He taught with the univesities of Kiel, Born and Heidelberg. Skilful experimenter, it completed many work on the chemistry of nitrogen. He is in particular of discoverer of the Hydrazine (1887) and of the Hydrazoic acid (1890).

Scientific contributions

Theodor Curtius is the author of approximately 300 articles and publications whose majority had an significant impact on the chemistry of the time.
