Theix
Theix ( Teiz into Breton) is a common , located in the department of the Morbihan and the area Brittany. Its inhabitants are called the Theixois ( Teiziz into Breton).
Geography
History
Theix is resulting from an old primitive parish which included/understood also Treffléan and part of Saint-Nolff. It is at the second century that the first Christian missionaries arrived coming from évéché of Turns. With the Middle Ages, a score of seigniories occupy the territory of Theix of which most important are Plessis-Josso, Salarun and Bonervaud. Theix belong to temporal of the bishop of Vannes and remains there until the Revolution.
Following the shipwreck of Erika on December 12th, 1999, the acceuille commune a provisional center intended for the cleaning of the mazoutés birds. January 21st, 2000, the president of the republic Jacques Chirac comes to return visit in this center.
