Their Satanic Majesties Request
Their Satanic Majesties Request is an album of the Rolling Stones, left in 1967.
Context
Left in full psychedelic period, it is the only album of this style for the group, which parodies Sgt. Pepper' S Lonely Hearts Club Band of the Beatles (also with regard to the small pocket, which will be in 3D for vinyl). Their Satanic Majesties Request , which was not a success at its exit also one of is the least best considered group.
The album contains both traditional 2000 Light Years From Home and She' S.A. Rainbow , which was used by Apple and Manpower in publicities. It profits from the participation of John Lennon and Paul McCartney in the choruses on the first title, of Nicky Hopkins with the piano, and of the orchestrations of John Paul Jones, bass player and organist of the future Led Zeppelin).
2000 Man was taken again by KIS ( Dynasty , 1979), and the song In Another Land remains the only song of the group entirely composed and sung by the bass player Bill Wyman with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards with the choruses, added thereafter.
Pieces
All the songs are of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, except In Another Land (Bill Wyman).
