Theater of Time

The theater of Time is the first theater Japan board of Paris, founded in 1980 by Junji Fuseya and located at the 9, Rue of Morvan in the 11th district of Paris, M° Voltaire.

This theater is devoted to the spectacles marrying traditional art and contemporary creation. It presents, in addition to its own spectacles, of the training courses to these techniques, accommodates young companies as well as artists among the largest Masters of the Japanese Théâtre (in particular the Alive National treasure Sensaku Shigeyama for the Kyôgen, or Tomiko Takaï one of the founders of the Buto).

In 2007, the Compagnie Brocéliande takes residence with the Theater of Time. If architecture, the structure and the spirit of this place are impressed Asian Culture and heart of the theater No and Kabuki, from now on all while fitting in the transmission of this Japanese tradition, the Theater of Time also wants to be and especially a place of research and innovation. Before the renovation works planned for 2008, it accommodates already artists come from various horizons by giving a place very particular to the contemporary theater and multi-field works. Creations, short forms, works in progress, readings, performances, video-projections, workshops, conferences… are welcome.
