The tribe

the Tribe ( The Tribe ) is a Feuilleton televised in coproduction British and New Zealand in 260 25 minutes episodes, created by Harry Duffin and Raymond Thompson and diffused between on April 24th, 1999 on television and on September 6th, 2003 on television. In France, the serial was partially diffused on TMC.

Synopsis

A virus decimates all the adults of the Earth and the children and the teenagers find themselves delivered to themselves, without rules, forced to invent their own laws and to adapt to the situation, to manage the questions of being able and to accept alliances. The spectator follows the destiny of the tribe of the “Rats” composed, inter alia, of Amber (Beth Allen), Bray (Dwayne Cameron) and Ebonie (Meryl Cassie). With the wire of the episodes, the characters discover the joys and sorrows which make the life, love and hatred, friendship and treason. The “rats” must cohabit with the other tribes among which one finds the “Locos”, their rivals.

Launched in 1999 in the United Kingdom on the chain Chanel 5, the Tribe ( The Tribe ) is a serial of science fiction intended for the young people but tackling however universal subjects. The childhood, generally associated with innocence, is confronted here with brutal questions: pregnancy, war, need for domination.
