The tarred Boat

the Boat tarred is a table carried out by the painter Edouard Manet in 1873, at the time of one of the stays which it had habit to accomplish in be with Boulogne-sur-Mer.

The fabric however was not carried out in Boulogne but on the Plage of Berck, and takes for topic the work of the fishing . The tonalities, darker than with accustomed, are characteristic of this period of the life of Manet where the effects of the Maladie were gradually felt.
