Synopsis

To find Russian nuclear submarines and American who mysteriously disappeared, James Bond (Roger Moore) made team with the Soviet agent Anya Amasova (Barbara Bach). Their mission leads them to face an enemy of most dangerous in the person of Requin (Richard Kiel), a giant of more than two meters almost indestructible and armed with a steel cheek as cutting as a razor. 007 will have to also face Karl Stromberg (Curd Jurgens), the employer of Shark. Stromberg wants to make use of the nuclear submarines that it flew to destroy the world and to create an underwater city. But 007 keep silent Stromberg, destroys the fortress of the megalomaniac and flees with Anya, while Requin escapes from accuracy.

  • the character of Karl Stromberg, the malicious megalomaniac who dreams to be with the head of a new world order and which directs his activities starting from a futuristic underwater base, resembles in many points Blofeld, the leader of the SPECTRUM and adversary of Jump in many preceding episodes. In the beginning, the idea of the scenario writers was to make of this episode the framework of a new opposition between Agent 007 and its old enemy. But the prospect for a conflict of copyright with the author Kevin McClory forced them to give up and create in the place the character of Stromberg.
