The social War
the social War (1906-1916) was a newspaper Socialiste Antimilitariste founded and directed by Gustave Herve.
The Socialist Gustave Herve founds the weekly magazine the social War on December 19th, 1906. He becomes the large newspaper Antimilitarist of the Beautiful Time. One finds there in particular articles of Gustave Herve, Victor Méric, Eugene Bonaventure de Vigo known as Miguel Almereyda (anagram of “ Y' has of the merde ”), Eugene Blackbird and Louis Perceau but also of the caricatures of Aristide Delannoy and Jules Grandjouan and of the texts of Cost Gaston.
the social War is drawn with 50 000 specimens, then in 1910 with 60 000 and with 52 000 in 1912.
After the conversion of Gustave Herve to nationalism in 1912-1914, the social War becomes the Victoire in 1916.
