the paneo kaj aliaj noveloj ( the Breakdown and other news ) is a collection of twelve news written in an original manner in Esperanto by Serĝo Elgo (pseudonym of Georges Lagrange left into 1998 with editions IEM with Vienna.

Sub the ruĝa ĉielo ( Under the red sky )

In a future distance, a grandfather and his grandson discuss. The grandson puts questions about the world which surrounds them. “Why the sky is it very red?” “Why it rains unceasingly?” The grandfather explains that formerly it was not thus; formerly, people were not obliged to live in the polar zones, but the expansion of the sun, being transformed into Supernova, made be heated the oceans until boiling, creating a zone around Ecuador where all forms of life was impossible. The small son also wonders whether it will have, him, to leave on Calypso as already of other human beings did it.

Marc awakes in the middle of a wood, his car broken down. What did it arrive to him? Memories return to him at the head; he had left to repair a television station for a customer of long time to which. While crossing wood, its car breaks down; impossible to make it start again; it finds a shoe of woman and sees a dog; it follows it to a small house in the middle of wood… An old woman knits in a corner and invites it to return; it finds there a woman and a young boy playing… The rising fog, it cannot leave any more and is made invite for the meal.
