Synopsis

Darlene, a woman returns to the country in the Nordeste. She flees her countryside because of a marriage which did not take place but which left him a baby. Old Osias then proposes to him to marry it. Stripped and only, it accepts. Darlene deals with all, works with the plantation leaving her husband to his morbid idleness and fall pregnant. When this last collects his/her cousin, Zezinho, Darlene succumbs to the charm of this more delicate man and fall again pregnant. It then accumulates the husbands under the family roof with the arrival of the young person and beautiful Ciro. Each one ends up being put up with embarrassing but picturesque situation: the successive husbands learn how to make the mourning of their machism.
