The northern Atlantic derives

The Atlantic northern drift is current a oceanic heat and powerful which prolongs the Gulf Stream towards the North-East. It separates into two in the west from Ireland. One of the branches (the current of the the Canaries) goes towards the south while the other continues along the coasts of the North-West of Europe where it has a considerable influence on the climate by heating it. Other branches include the Courant of Irminger and the Norwegian Running. In the beginning, it is an extension of the Gulf Stream which goes even further towards north and throws in the Arctic Ocean. The change of climate, and, in particular, the total warming, can have a significant effect on the Atlantic northern drift.
