the night belongs to us ( We Own the Night ) is an American film carried out by James Gray, left in 2007.

The first of film took place the May 25th 2007 with the Cannes festival where it was presented in official competition.

Synopsis

New York, end of the year 80. Bobby is the young employer of a connected nightclub pertaining to the Russians. With the explosion of the drug trafficking, the Russian Maffia extends its influence on the world of the night. To continue its rise, Bobby must hide its bonds with its family. Only his/her boyfriend, Amada is with the current: his/her brother, Joseph, and his/her father, Burt, are eminent members of the New Yorkean police force… Each day, the confrontation between the Russian Maffia and the police force is increasingly violent, and vis-a-vis the threats which weigh against its Bobby family will have to choose its camp…
